Last summer I was asked to meet Emily & Jeff in Philadelphia for their engagement session & to photograph their wedding a few months later. I really enjoyed every step with them. Jeff was funny and caring. Emily is so easy going and beautiful! Below are some of my favorites from both days. Images courtesy of Intrigue Photography

Three years ago this summer I photographed a friend/co-worker’s wedding. I figured it was better late than never to share some of the images! I’ll always remember their wedding, beyond enjoying the honor; as it was the hottest day of the year and hottest wedding I ever photographed. Mandy’s gorgeousness only added to the scorching heat. Tony was looking pretty dapper that day, as well. Here are some of my favorites from the day. All images courtesy of Intrigue Photography

During my stay in Tampa, we took a Sunday and spent it in Tarpon Springs. I’ve been wanting to visit Tarpon Springs for about 10 years, after learning about it’s large population of Greeks and sponge harvesting industry. It’s a very cute town with friendly people, but we were really fortunate to catch it on the Sunday they celebrate Greek independence {unknowingly}. After we parked on the outskirts of the downtown, assuming it was the best spot we would get, we walked a few blocks right in to the heart of the parade. The energy was real high from all of the people in town and we were really pleased with our dumb luck. These are the images I captured as we walked the streets:

While in Tampa, visiting my sister, I was able to photograph the NHL matchup between the Lightening & Senators. The game was intense, as it was a key game for Tampa to win in order to clinch a playoff birth. The following is the set of images I submitted for Metromix Tampa.

Waayy back in 2001 & 2002 I spent a lot of the time traveling parts of the U.S. and bits of the U.K. and Europe. At the time I was shooting on a Canon Rebel and eventually my beloved Nikon F100. I often used slide film and cross-processed in order to get the vibrant colors and odd effect. Photography was strictly a hobby at the time, but a burning passion.
The Green Tortoise is a bus trip that offers many route options throughout the U.S.. The trip I ventured on was the cross-country from NY to SF. It’s definitely a unique way to see various parts of the country with people from all over the world. Our route brought us through the Badlands of North Dakota, Colorado, Utah (Bryce, Zion and Arches National Parks), Las Vegas… We then spent 10 days in San Fran and flew back. The style of trip isn’t for everyone, but I’m really happy to have done it.
A few days after September 11, 2001 I spent 3 months in the U.K. and Europe. I went through dozens of rolls of film and I didn’t process any of it until I returned home. Of course, it took me a little while to make enough $ to develop and print all of the rolls! I still have all of these images printed as 4×6′s in albums. I still have yet to transfer all of the images into digital media. For some reason, over the past 10 years, I did scan a few of these images in from a crappy little scanner on my PC straight from the 4×6 print. Needless to say, the quality isn’t very good. Being inspired recently by the Lomography movement and my Diana F camera I wanted to revisit some of these images and all of their imperfections. After all, this was the start of a passion that I have since turned into a full-time profession. So, here are a few of those early images from some of my travels. If I ever get a solid film scanner I’ll gladly post the rest! Enjoy & thanks for taking the time.

These images are some old concert photos I have taken over the years, many with film. Thought it was about time I got them somewhere beyond my hard drive & personal photo albums. Wanted to leave some of the grit and film look to many of them to preserve the image as it was taken. Early on, I was inspired by Charles Peterson who created great images during the heydays of the Seattle grunge scene. The beauty of these images, for me, is that each one brings me back to that moment and venue. Soft, loud, crowded, empty…they are all special memories. It also reminds me of the people that joined me at all of these shows. I need to get out to see more live music!
